Books teach us about what we do: the technology we build, the homes we make, the money we earn, the relationships we choose, or that choose us, or that we fall into.
Books also make sense of why we do what we do. They make our challenges more endurable, or beautiful, or universal—books help us survive.
Issues come out semi-monthly and are usually paywalled. Once in awhile I do a limited series. Some of the most popular posts in the archive are free, but the best way to enjoy all of the essays is to become a paying subscriber for less than $4/month.
